About Me
I was born in Chicago and grew up there and in the near by suburbs. I moved to Tennessee in 1967 where I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1971 with a BS in Marketing.
I then became the Marketing and Sales Manager for Cobbly Nob, a land development with a golf course in Gatlinburg. The following year, I joined my future wife in operating The Leathersmiths, Inc., the first leather shops in Gatlinburg.
In 1980 we moved to Bolinas, California where I did business consultation in the San Francisco area until 1984 when we moved to Ojai, California where I was the manager of The Federated Group, a 300,000 sq. ft. audio- video superstore in near by Ventura.
Upon returning to East Tennessee in 1989, I became Director of Marketing for Creations by Carole, a large retailer in Gatlinburg and a wholesale supplier of candles and animal figurines to the Wick and Sticks candle store chain as well as numerous other retailers.
In 1991, I took a shot at Timeshare sales where I could have made a lot of money if I could have learned to look people in the eyes and lie to them. I did figure out during that experience that the attractive lies we were expected to give were actually true with regard to cabin ownership, so, I obtained my real estate license and began my current career.
So, I’m a Chicago kid who is a born again country boy, living in the mountains and loving it. I’m currently finalizing plans for three cabins that I’m building for myself that will provide a major part of my retirement income. I truly believe in what I do and would like to help you secure your financial future and share with you the Smoky Mountain experience that I’ve come to love.
